Primary School Holiday Workshops.
Our January Holiday Workshops (19 - 30 January 2026) strengthen essential literacy and numeracy skills, helping students feel confident heading into the new school year. Designed for primary school students, each workshop builds strong foundations in a supportive, small-group setting.
There are two options available: K-2 Core Skills Boost and Years 3-6 Core Skills Boost.

K - 2 Core Skills Boost
English
Students will develop essential early literacy skills, including:
Handwriting and correct letter formation
Phonics development (CVC, CCVC, CVCC words)
Spelling and high-frequency words
Reading comprehension strategies
Descriptive writing skills
Understanding and using basic tenses
Maths
Students will strengthen early numeracy skills through:
Recognising number patterns
Times tables foundations
Understanding fractions and decimals
Telling the time
Measurement concepts

Years 3 - 6 Core Skills Boost
English
Students will refine their literacy skills by focusing on:
Spelling and grammar
Narrative and persuasive writing
Proofreading and editing techniques
Expanding simple sentences into more complex structures
Maths
Students will build confidence in numeracy by practising:
Short and long division strategies
Reading and interpreting time
Solving word problems
Fractions and decimals
Measurement skills
